Mount St. Helens from Elk Prairie.  Elk Prairie, completely devoid of trees prior to the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens, witnesses an earlier eruption that had leveled the surrounding the area and creating a prairie.  This photo was taken in 2006.
